Donna L. Holmes (Drama Chair) Actress/Storyteller/Playwright. Theatrical Education: Negro Ensemble Professional Actors Workshop; H/B Studios, and American Academy of Dramatic Arts. Performances include: For Colored Girls...; The Piano Lesson; Colored People's Time; Ode To Panama; Dracula; Godspell; Stage Door; George White's Scandals. As an artist, she has worked with the following institutions: Negro Ensemble Company; CBA Theater; The Colfax Group; African Globe Theater; NJ Symphony Orchestra; NJ Historical Society; Newark City Hall; and the Whole Theater. In the role of Artist Facilitator she has worked for Plays For Living NY, Playwrights Theater of NJ and Child Assault Prevention Project of NJ. In addition to her duties as Drama Chair/Instructor at NSA, she works as a teaching artist for NJPAC in schools public and private throughout Essex County. During the summer, she is the resident Drama Instructor for the Summer Youth Performing Arts Program at Newark Symphony Hall.
